What is the Standalone English Speaking Test?

The Standalone English Speaking Test is a brand-new, cutting-edge product designed for learners who want a fast, accurate, and exclusive measure of their speaking abilities. This test evaluates several critical components of your spoken English, including:

New design of PDF reports

 This week we launched our newly designed PDF test reports now available for download directly from the results page. The PDF test report provides additional details and feedback on the test-taker's performance, such as net time spent, percentage scores for all test sections, and grammar categories that should be improved.

For the Complete test, comments from our raters on oral and writing performance are added to the second and third pages of the Test report. 

Changes in the certificate format - Core test and Complete test

In January 2021, we will update the design of the TrackTest English certificates.

Changes are mainly in wording and visuals. Test construct, methodology and minimum required score for getting the Core certificate (65%) does not change. Updates apply to both standard and verified version of the certificate. 

All previously achieved certificates remain valid and available in their original format.

How to add a certificate to your LinkedIn profile

A good command of English language significantly increases your chances to get the better job or promotion. Therefore you should not forget to add the proof of your English proficiency to your user profile on the social networks for professionals like LinkedIn or XING.

LinkedIn has recently changed the way how you add the certificates to your social profile. We have prepared the short guide for you. If you are tired of reading, scrolling down the article for the short video.

Payment receipts for the English proficiency test individual license

All individual licences purchased directly on the TrackTest website come with the payment receipts.

Individual users get the PDF payment receipt attached to their purchase confirmation e-mail. It is also available for download in the user profile. 

Note : Licences for English proficiency level tests and Speaking exams purchased via the local partners and resellers are handled directly by these partners in countries. 

The payment receipt includes the information about the name and e-mail address of the user, transaction id number, date of transaction and price. You can find the sample receipt on the picture below:

SSL Encryption on TrackTest English Proficiency tests

Tracktest domains- tracktest.eu and app.tracktest.eu are encrypted with the latest and regularly updated encryption mechanisms. They are encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet.

Encryption makes it difficult for unauthorized people to view information traveling between computers. Therefore it is unlikely that anyone read this page as it traveled across the network.

What does it mean for me?
SSL encryption adds an extra layer of security for registered users and visitors. However, you can continue to use our TrackTest pages as before.

In your browser, you will see the green lock next to the web address and https in the address itself. 

All TrackTest links without https are automatically redirected to https version.     

P.S. This blog stays on http protocol as the Google technology running this blog does not allow the migration yet. We are looking at the alternatives to enable it here too.  Update: blog.tracktest.eu now runs on SSL as well.

English Speaking test- how it works

We have released a brand new feature for all individual accounts- the English Speaking test.

All individual users can now try the Speaking test in their profile if they have successfully passed any TrackTest level test with a certificate.

For corporate and school accounts it was already offered for some time and can be activated upon request.

How the Speaking test works:

The speaking test will take about 10 minutes and you will need a microphone on your PC to complete the test.

The first question is freely available so you can try it works for you. The rest of the test is available after the payment.

Share your English test result with your friends

New sharing buttons will appear below each successfully completed test and pre-test. With them, you can share a special dedicated English test result page with the certificate publicly or just with your friends on social media, e.g., Facebook, Twitter, VK, and LinkedIn.
