Audio listening samples in Internet Explorer not working. What can I do?

You have reached the test's listening section and do not hear the audio track. Here are the most typical issues and how to fix them.

1. I see the audio track on the page but it does not play and shows 00:00 duration.

This issue can happen with some specific settings of Internet Explorer, versions 10 and 11. These browsers sometimes block the ActiveX controls- small apps that allow websites to provide content such as videos or audio. You will need to allow it for so you can listen to the audio sections properly.

How to fix it:
1. When you are on the listening page, select the Filter button in the address bar
2. Select Turn off ActiveX Filtering. If the Filter button doesn't appear in the address bar, no ActiveX content is being filtered on the site.

Other browsers, e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safe Exam Browser should not be affected by this issue.

2. I see that audio is playing but I do not hear the sound.

The problem is most probably in your computer. Please check if you have loudspeakers or headphones connected and working. If you can hear the sound from Youtube, you will also hear the audio in the Tracktest exam.
